Day 16 - What Matters Most - Rick Warren Purpose driven life
No matter what i say, what i believe, and what i do, i'm bankrupt without love. 1Cor13:3
Love means living the way God commanded us to live. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is this: Live a life of love.
Life is all about love. All about relationships. When life on earth is ending, people don't surround themselves with objects. What we want around us is people - people we love and have relationships with.
Yes its true. nothing is more important than life than having meaningful relationships. Even christianity is about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. 1Cor13:3 I will keep close to my heart.
Learning to love unselfishly is not an easy task. It runs counter to our self-centered nature. That's why we're given a lifetime to learn it.
Wow.. a lifetime. and how true is that.. everyday, i'm still learning how to love pple.. how to love my brother.. my dad and even my mom. and some pple are not easy to love really.. but yesterday's sermon really touched my heart. We're all living stones. and not all stones are smooth, some are really rough on the edges and God is slowly smoothing the edges, moulding the stones to fit. We all belong in the same house.
Like the bricks we were building, we are like them. stacking on top of each other, whether we like it or not. the brick next to you, on top of you, below you may be someone you can't get along with.. but fact is we all belong together in the house that God is building. Slowing fitting us like a jigsaw puzzle, placed on earth for a purpose.
Christianity is about community.. not practiced in isolation. Something that i hold dear to my heart.. cos it so easy to stray when i make the choice to isolate myself. so help us all, to see the bigger picture. and that You truely care. You are the one that binds us all together. You are our common ground. Everything we do for you will be our common ground.
